Using Image Streaming at work

by Pete Bisonette

Here at the office these past couple of months we’ve been using the Over-the-Wall procedure from Genius Code as a group process to get insights into new programs and products to explore for development. This procedure lends itself well to group work within organizations—you might try it in your organization. Our question for the first day was:

What would the topic be for a new program we create that becomes popular with our clients and profitable for Learning Strategies?

Here are examples of questions that you might be able to use in your organization:

What can we do to curb expenses?

How can _________________ run more smoothly?

Where can we find more customers?

How can we improve employee morale?

ow can we be more effective in our interactions with customers?

What can we do to help clients become completely satisfied and fulfilled with their experiences with us?

We had folks pair up. One person would be describe their Image Stream and the other would take notes. Lynette Ayres, one of our longtime instructors, led our group into first describing a garden scene, just as we recommend in the course. (You don’t need an instructor to lead a sessions for you—it’s easy, quite fun, and leads to interesting insights and results.) After about 90 seconds to two minutes of describing the garden Lynette told us to notice a wall somewhere in the garden. We switched from describing the garden to describing the wall.

Lynette then read aloud the above question and over the wall we went into the first of three answer scenes. Lynette led us into two more answer scenes, each one separated by a screen, door, or barrier of some sorts—we spent about 90 seconds to two minutes describing each scene that we saw in our minds eye. When you jump over a wall or go through a door you get a fresh set of images to help look at your answers from a different perspective. (This is all described in the course.) The pairs switched roles, and we did the procedure again so that everyone had a chance to Image Stream.

We then talked about our images, the impressions we received, and what we learned from the session. Amazingly nearly everyone went in the same direction: our products need to be environmentally sustainable. We were expecting images that related to topics, but no, we received a directive. It is an important directive, and one that we’ve been working on. It certainly has not been without issues. For example, when we have given clients the choice between buying the regular version of the course with CDs or the electronic delivery of mp3s, the number of clients who buy significantly decrease. We think that is because our clients know the electronic version is better for the planet, but they really want the actual CDs in their hands. So when given a choice, they don’t decide. They simply do not purchase. That issue is high on our priority list, and at some point we’ll get it figured out. Our first mp3-only program will be announced in May. If that goes well, our next big personal learning course coming out later in the year or early next year will be all electronic.

Back to our company Image Streaming. The next day a different group of employees came in and they were given a slightly different question:

What would the topic be for a new program we create that is environmentally sustainable, popular with our clients, and profitable for Learning Strategies?

Guess what? The group received fewer images around the product being environmentally sustainable and more images around possibilities. In my first answer scene during my own Image Streaming session, the images related to the tenets behind our product development. The second answer scene had a dragonfly and a gold fish with the background being a beautiful purple. I had no idea what that meant until a few days later when I flew to Mexico to meet a shaman that Paul had told me about. She has a system of energy healing that is different from Spring Forest Qigong and seems to be equally effective. She lives off the grid in the mountains south of Mexico City. A PhotoReading instructor in Mexico made arrangements for me to spend a few days with her. When I first lay eyes on her she was wearing a beautiful purple shirt with a dragonfly and gold fish. These were the exact images from my Image Stream—down to the colors. I knew right then and there that I needed to pay attention to this woman.

Back in Minnesota, the next two group Image Streaming sessions involved a different question:

What problems will our clients be looking to us for solutions in this next year?

The answers confirmed what I had been thinking, but what was fascinating was not the answers but what was missing from the answers. Only one person had anything in their Image Stream about wealth and consumption. Given the steady popularity of our Abundance for Life and Effortless Success personal learning courses, as well as the Prosperity Paraliminal, I know that our clients are still wanting to enhance their inner world to help create a more abundant outer world. But perhaps the motivation has changed from conspicuous consumption to comfortable living for the good of all concerned. Time will tell.

Our next round of Image Streaming sessions will be in early May. This time we will use a version of the High Think Tank procedure from the course. The question will be written down, but the Image Streamers will not have conscious knowledge of the question. This will help keep the conscious mind from editing responses or pushing forward images. If you will be using any of the procedures from Genius Code for group sessions, consider playing the first CD of the course to the group, or watching the first section of the new Genius Code Live DVDs. This will help the group better understand the power of the images coming from within. Plan for your first session to be 90 minutes so that you are not rushed. Give plenty of time for the Image Streaming and for interpreting the images.
