Hi,
When I work from home it seems I have a lack of focus, don't respect the schedule I have established for the day. it's so easy to do other things like watch TV ... I was looking at the list of paraliminals and got stopped at 2 that thought might help : Get around to it and Self discipline. What's the difference ? which one would help me the best overcome beeing distracted?
Thanks!

Get around to it tends to work best when you know what it is that you should do but keeping putting it off. Self-discipline works for when you want to integrate a ritual into your daily life (studying, working out, etc). I find that the Focus and concentration paraliminal gives me a sense of purpose and direction.

I'd add Self-Esteem Supercharger and Power Thinking to the mix. Allowing yourself to be distracted by TV and pottering around is often a sign of a lack of confidence in yourself to tackle the project you set for yourself.

If you wind up watching TV too much and know what you should be doing, use Get Around to it.

If you're feeling overwhelmed use Power Thinking and Talking to Win. You might also use New Action Generator.

Remember to break down any task, often if you start with only 5 minutes (set a timer and honour the timer) do the task for 5 minutes when the timer goes stop. Give yourself permission to set it for a longer time. For that you might use New Habit Generator.

Thank you !
I have been using Self-Esteem 2 weeks now and I feel more focused. I still tend to get off track but less and I noticed it's easier to get back to what I was doing. I'm very happy to see an improvement ! smile
I will add Power thinking and see how it goes.
Thanks again
