What is this course about?

Spring Forest Qigong is a series of controlled breathing technique combined with focused concentration and simple movements that can significantly improve one's health.

Is Qigong like yoga? Tai Chi? What's the difference?

Qigong has been called "Chinese Yoga," so there are similarities. The movement of Spring Forest Qigong is similar to Tai Chi movements. The big difference is, however, that Spring Forest Qigong is specifically designed to help open energy blockages and balance energy in your body for improved health and well-being.

Does this take the place of my yoga or Tai Chi? Can I do both?

You can decide whether to continue practicing your other disciplines. Chunyi Lin says it is best not to practice Spring Forest Qigong during the same time of day as your other practice. If you practice one in the morning, practice the other in the afternoon or evening. If you need to do them during the same time of day, give yourself at least a 20-minute break between practice

What if I am in a wheelchair? What if my legs don't move, or my arms, etc. can I still do it?

You can practice Spring Forest Qigong standing, sitting, or lying down. If you cannot do any movement or any part of a movement, Chunyi Lin says you can do that movement in your mind.

What is the difference between the Basic course and the Deluxe course?

The Main course contains all that you need to practice Spring Forest Qigong personally. You will also learn the basics to break up blockages in other people and give them energy. The Deluxe course includes everything in the Main course, plus you will learn how to locate blockages in other people as well as exercise to do to increase you ability to give energy to other people. You could purchase the Basic course now and purchase the upgrade later. Or take advantage of cost savings by purchasing the Deluxe now.

Are the exercises of the self-study course the same as those taught in Master Lin's workshop?

Yes. There is no difference. All information from the workshop is included in the course.

How long is the course?

There are 6 audio and 1 video sessions in the Basic course totaling 7 hours; and 4 additional audio and 1 video sessions in the Deluxe course, adding 4 hours. These sessions guide you through the processes contained in the 42- and 40-page manuals.

How much time is recommended to complete the course?

For best results, we recommend you put time in your schedule right now to do the course. Treat these as important appointments and do not change them because something else has come up.

How much should I practice?

Once a day for five minutes is good. Three times a week for thirty minutes is better. One to two hours a day for two to three months is best.

How quickly will I see results?

You will begin noticing subtle shifts as soon as you begin the course. As you apply what you learn, and depending on what is going on in your life, you'll see increasingly more noticeable results.

Some of the people written about on the website saw Master Lin privately. Do I need to see him privately to experience significant results?

No.

I am under doctor's care. Should I tell my doctor that I am practicing Qigong?

Yes. And, consult with your physician or other licensed health care practitioner before changing or discontinuing any current treatment. Qigong should be used as a complementary practice for medical care -- not as a replacement.

When you have no health concerns
