I took photoreading a couple of years ago. Last year I took a mortgage course. I scared myself how I inhaled the material. Finished the course in 10% of the time. At the 3 hour exam I finished in 45 minutes, I called the instructor for feedback on my performance. She said "you did very well". (It was pass or fail).

Now I'm working on something different. This hypnosis material is not multiple choice. It's information that needs to be memorized sort of like "lines in a play" (not exactly but close enough).

When I see demonstrations the interviewer asks for specificities about a book.

My challenge is its more detailed "essay type" response.

I'm not even sure what to look for when going over the forum.

Ideas?

It's not how to write an essay.

It's between paraphrasing and memorizing.

For example in the book there are explanatory sections and actual dialogues detailing precisely what was overviewed previously.

The explanations need to be understood. The dialogues need to be memorized.

To memorise noting beats repeat, repeat and repeat. Break it down into sections memorise the section and repeat.

Read for meaning if you're looking at paraphrasing. That also helps with comprehension.
