I'm just starting with Paraliminals. Today I was listening to session A of "Break the Habit", and the part where I was instructed to visualize the negative in the past and leave it behind really choked me up.
The negative memory I was visualizing was so painful, that I started to cry in the middle of the session. I finished listening to the session, but then I had a bit of a breakdown crying afterward for 10-15 minutes. In fact, I just started crying again just typing this post.
Is this kind of emotional reaction normal? A sign that I need to stop, or just work through it? Curious if anyone else has this type of strong emotional response. I always envisioned meditation being much more calm and peaceful, not painful.
