I'm new to the forums and very excited to be using the Whole Mind Read System from PhotoReading while also learning the Level 1 Practitioner training of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). I am about 1 month into both systems. I wanted to know if there is anyone else out there that has learned and practiced both PhotoReading and NLP at the same time and have tips to maximize the experience. My outcome-purpose is to improve my memory (recall and retention) and be more resourceful (happy and excited) on a consistent basis.

I welcome any advice on the above topics.

Thanks!

Could we have a little discussion about the nature and definition of "purpose"? Most people don't seem to get it and I sure don't. It appears to get confused with "intention." You keep telling us, that without properly formulated purpose there is no photoreading. Could you give us a little of what you see as "purpose"? How to go about formulating it?
Whenever I decide to read a book is because it grabs me. It makes me say to myself "this sounds fascinating! I want to read this!" And I do. The books I would like to photoread are technical books for my work as a psychotherapist. Books about the brain, how it works, about techniques, etc. but when it comes to formulating a purpose, the most I can come up with is "I want to know this so I can use it in my work with people and be a better therapist." I can see that this is more an intention than a purpose, so I really need HELP!!!
Thank you!
Anna

See the PhotoReading book there is a whole section on establishing your purpose.

Intention is a specific outcome or goal. Purpose is a journey. Not a destination. It remains flexible and it's why you are reading the book at that particular time.

What do you want to learn from the book? Answer So that I can..... therein lies your purpose.

I've answered and discussed this question many times on the forum.

Have you taken a course in NLP? If so, what were you experiences? I know Paul Scheele has.
