Dear all,
I am a new photoreader, and I have returned to University to do postgrad study after a long abscence. I was wondering if some kind people would pass on a tip or 2 they have about applying the whole mind system to studying in a technical area where there is allot of reading and a thesis with references to write.
Thanks for help. smile

Have you learned the system? Check out the 5 day test in the book. Therein lies a study method.

Read the chapter on Syntopic Reading, ideal for writing dissertations and thesis.

Thanks Alex,
I have been through the self learning course with DVD's once and am now replaying bits as they seem necessary.
I have just started doing some synoptic reading. Is it Ok to synoptic read on Sunday and then activate then one a day during the week?
I have found I can see the blip page and the tangerine technique. But I find I spend too much time in activation and mind mapping. Which I think with more playing around and practice I will get better at.
While reading around in the forum ( which is great, thank you) I have found a few peoples suggestions that might help me. This motivated my question, as I though other phototreaders might have other tips that helped them with study and technical reading ie things not directly in the book or course, or an interesting interpretation of something in there.

Ideally spend 30 minutes doing a bit from all the books. Avoid one book at a time approach. Follow the guide in the book which elaborates what you are doing during syntopic reading.

Check your purpose regularly when activating. It's pointless activating more than you need or activating something that doesn't focus on your purpose.

It's a funny thing, once you get the system you just go off and do it. Few come back to tell us what happened when they tried the idea they asked if anyone else had tried it and if it was worth the time.

So it would be great to hear what tips and advise you found useful?
