I have been doing my best to apply the steps to everything I read for months. Anything is an improvement over the slogging I have had to do through all my reading before I found Photoreading. I have experimented with "purpose" which helped, but I have just really felt the effect of complete relaxation at the start of every session. Not trying so hard is a great relief and lets things work so much more effectively. It is really turning my tremendous amount of reading into a pleasure. Marc

Sounds great!!

You might think of it like this:

Relaxation is a skill unto itself
Knowing ones Purpose is a fire unto itself
Photoreading is a skill-set unto itself, which works much better with first two already bedded down.

Tackling Photoreading and still not knowing a keen purpose or the joy relaxed focus would indeed be more difficult.

Glad you are doing well and of course just not giving up will bring all things needed into swing eventually.

Relaxation helps me enormously too. It's like I open up everything and information sinks in effortlessly(well a lot more so than when I am tense or uptight about it).
