if anyone is interested, there is a timer called Invisible Clock that is expensive ($39.) but really helpful. Small (inch and 1/2 by 2), vibrates or beeps, chose volume, has an incredible amount of functions for such a little device - including the "custom timer" that allows you to set it to beep at whatever intervals you want (great for active exercise) and a clip to wear it if you like.

Since i travel often, and have a schedule that changes a lot, this is perfect for programing for different needs at different times. it is really helping me with staying consistent in SFQ practice. get it on their web site or ebay.

easy to program, too. just passing on info (this probably sounds like an advertisement - but it isn't!)

Best,
d.

Aloha delacy,

Thank you. we use a simple countdown timer called the "Motivator" with participants in our Natural Brilliance and Abundance for Life Retreats.

This one looks like it may be more useful to me in a facilitator-events manager position

Have a wonder-full new year.

Much Love, Shawn

Thanks for that idea Shawn. I've reframed from commenting on these types of threads.

For myself, I used the motivator when I was starting SFQ. Especially for the morning exercises, which I was doing in silence. It's important to me to not be Late starting the family going, in the morning. It creates too much stress.

I found that after about 4 uses I would naturally end my morning meditations before the motivator would go off. Since then, if time is an issue, I check my watch, decide when I want to end, state that the time in between is for me and do my meditation. I trust myself for when to transition from one exercise to another. They don't get equal time. Some even get skipped sometimes. However, I don't worry about when to stop and I've yet to be disappointed. If that does happen I will trust that was important to me to spend the extra time in meditation.

However, I can see how the Motivator would be very useful when working with a group, and not just by yourself.

Thank you.

You are perfection,
Iam2
