I haven't posted for some time, but I read everyone's comments and they are all very informative. My question is---Is it a good idea to photoread a book, then wait an hour or so then pr it again and wait then pr again several times a day, then wait 24 hours and activate? I only have the book to guide me and I am just trying to "play with it" and was wondering if anyone thought that maybe this would be unproductive. Ever learning..

Hey there kmg526, I have also wondered that myself. Part of things that once you have PR a book, you have already accomplished the task of getting the information in. Now the question I have is, will going through the PR process again enhance that? What have you found? Did you try a book with just PR it once, waiting 24hrs then activating? How did that feel compared to the method you described below? BlkWolf

One of the common practices that Pete Bissonette has metioned previously is to PhotoRead a book; then next day he would PhotoRead it once again prior to activation. Additionally one of the suggestions to increase your spontaneous activation is to PhotoRead 5-10 books a day: Quote from Pete's prior posts: "...- PhotoRead 5-10 books a day for a month or two. This is a big commitment, but those who do this have many difference experiences with activation including spontaneous activation, weird cooincidences, dreaming about the contents of a book or applying the principles from a book, opening books to exactly the information you are looking for, and so on. It is a great confidence builder. That's how I started out, and I highly recommend it. Activate one book a week--but PhotoRead 5-10 a day to see what happens--even if it is the same book over and over.." Alex

Thanks guys, I do remember now older posts that people kinda asked the same thing. I have had some positive experiences with the Dictionary exercise BlkWolf, and I do zoom when I read now which is cool as well. I only have the book so there is ALOT of playing for me. I am getting the cassettes and such next month. It has been slow going but progressive. Thanks for you help again. I will be posting more often looking forward to reading of you'alls posts.

Alexander, Sweet bro. That is the info I needed as well. I would love to PR 5 books a day if I had that many books. This helps shed a brighter light on the process for me. I was worried about PR a book over and over. My concern was that the PhotoFocus state would primarily allocate a new section of memory. In essence, make an impression of that day's PR session, which would happen to be a copy of a book you have already PR. If that is the case, I could see how it would help Spontaneous activation. Use up the other %90 of your brain, something is about to start leaking out. Once my girls start school here in a few weeks, I will set aside the time for 5 books a day for PR. This will work great because I am studying to pass the J2EE Arch. Certification which will require that I have an intimate understanding of the material. (7 books to know and become) Thx again Alex, your my hero for the week. Blk

Quick question concerning this exercise. Should steps 1,2 and 3 be used or main focus be on step 1 and 3? I would think that after you have already reviewed and the goal would be to develop the PR itself. Thx for the guidance, Blk

Blkwolf, I asked this question yesterday about the exercise you are speaking of (5-10 books/day for a month). Dana replied that steps 1, 2, and 3 should all be used. Hope this helps, Brandon

Dana wrote: To increase the chances for "spontaneous activation" do this: 1. Do steps 1,2,3, Prepare/Preview/PhotoRead 7-10 books each week for one month. 2. Then, go back and do steps 4,5, Activate/Rapid Read a couple of those books each week. Activation is all about building conscious comprehension, from "whole-to-parts."

Hey there Bran, The part that confuses me is Pete is apparently quoted at: "but PhotoRead 5-10 a day to see what happens--even if it is the same book over and over.." Where Dana states: "Do steps 1,2,3, Prepare/Preview/PhotoRead 7-10 books each week for one month." I am willing to go through 5-10 books a day to develop the skills needed if it is worth the energy-time. Is it that new understanding has adapted Pete's recommendation to 7-10/week? Is it that more are willing to commit Dana's direction. Just out for understanding. Blk
