Maybe someone can help me. I hope. Whenever I feel happy or good, I feel like this isn't right. I find it hard to accept these positive feelings. Or whenever something is going good I start thinking I am going to get a big slap in my face and somehow I will regret ever feeling happy. Ever since I started using paraliminals religously my life has improved dramitically. I no longer would recognize the new me from the old me. Yet, still at times I always find myself saying this is too good to be true. I am supposed to feel bad. Because when you feel bad, thats all there is. You can't get hurt more, or lose more. But when you feel good, you always have something to lose. God help me.

I kinda know where you're comeing from. I was working on a big english paper (yuck), and had spent several *days* on it, and produced nothing. Then, I had one of those sudden bursts of insight, and just started typing. A few minutes later I was like OMG, I can do this! Then, my brain instantly shut down, and I could do no more. I STILL don't have it done, and that was 3 days ago. It SUCKS!!

Hi Joey

Life is full of positives and negatives. To live life abundantly does not mean there will be no negatives. Choosing to feel bad all the time is like a safety net, there are no risks. The Self-Esteem Supercharger helps one take helpful risks. It helps you believe even when life is not right, you can still feel good about yourself. Feeling good about yourself does not mean there will be no negatives, feeling good about yourself helps because you are able to bounce back from negatives. With the Self-Esteem Supercharger you feel good about yourself no matter what, negatives and positives come and go.

I think the problem you have summarized is a common problem, but that doesn't mean it's no problem.

In one of Jonathan Parker's tapes he has the affirmation similar to "I move from one positive experience to another" and the tape is called "Take Risks and Win"

You could try addressing the following with Paraliminals:-

1.a.The state or belief of feeling undeserving.(Belief)
1.b.The (Belief) that you can move from one positive experience to another.

2. Fear of Success.(Anxiety-Free)

3. Self-sabotage with (Automatic Pilot), often when people see success they do sabotage their hopes by doubt and worry.

4. (Prosperity), to overcome beliefs that block full abundance in the areas where you have stopped before.

5. And using (Self-Esteem Supercharger) for self-confidence.

Joey, It sounds like you have a strong religious background. The guilt complex often comes about because it is so strongly ingrain that we are sinners through the old school churches.

My mother was raised as a catholic and herself felt guilty whenever she was happy. It took some years of us asking her 'why?' why must something bad happen now that you've been happy? Why cann't you be happy?

When she stopped voicing the expectation of something bad happening because she was happy. The bad things stopped happening. She is so much happier and enjoys live.

Fortunately with tools like paraliminals you can enjoy happiness a lot faster than my mum did. She never could say why she wasn't allowed to be happy. The church didn't forbid it. She didn't say that no one should be happy in fact she wanted others to be happy. She just felt guilty when she was happy and guilt is a man made feeling. No other living thing in the world holds onto guilt feeling as well as we humans do. In order to forgive we must learn to forgive ourselves as well and until we fully forgive ourselves we will harbour guilt feeling. We don't try to stop others from feeling happy or enjoying themselves so why not give ourselves the same grace?

Really try to answer the question, "Why can't you have fun/enjoy yourself?" If you're doing something wrong, then you can explain your guilt feeling, you also know what you need to change or stop doing to fix it. However be wary of accepting an abstract answer like "because it's wrong". Keep asking, "why is it...?" till you find the answer or discover it is just an abstract feeling, that, once you realise it you just let it go and simply allow your self to be. To be in the present momment, to be a part of what is taking place and letting it simply be ok that you can enjoy the momment with the people you are with.

In answer to your question "Why do I feel bad, when things are GOOD?" - it's called guilt.

Alex
