Expanded Brain Functioning

March 1st, 2010 by Paul Scheele

The human brain produces electrical frequencies. These waves of electrical energy can be measured in Hertz (Hz) or cycles per second (cps). The brain normally operates in a range of frequencies from 1 to 30-plus cps. We associate smaller frequency modes within the normal range with a variety of specific brain functions or capabilities.

Similar to radio or television channels, brain frequency modes, or “brain channels,” allow us to access different personal resources. In much the same way as we change TV channels, we can also change our brain channels to access more of the brain’s full potential. The slower brain frequencies are associated with powers that may seem miraculous to those who habitually favor using the faster brain frequencies of the conscious mind.

The four channels represent major states of awareness, which we can call on whenever we wish:

Channel 1 – Action Channel (15-30 Hz)
* Feels stress
* Home of appropriate action
* Outer five senses
* Reason
Channel 2 – Relaxation Channel (12-15 Hz)
* Releases stress
* Gateway to the accelerative learning state
* Physical relaxation
* Mental alertness
* “The doors to the inner mind swing inward”
Channel 3 – Learning Channel (8-12 Hz)
* Process new learning
* Home of real learner
* Calmness
* Inner sense
* Relaxation
Channel 4 – High Creativity Channel (5-7 Hz + 40 Hz)
* Brings highest resources
* Home of super abilities
* Intuition
* Inspiration
* Innovation
* Creativity
* Self as genius
* Reverie

The four channels were developed by F. Noah Gordon, author of Magical Classroom: Creating Effective, Brain-Friendly Environments for Learning. It is integral to the Abundance for Life and Genius Code personal learning courses.

Tomorrow we’ll explore the expanded brain state of the High Creativity Channel as it relates to abundance and prosperity. This state is also called the Pattern Maker Channel.

  1. I just like this information shown and this has offered me several sort of inspiration to succeed for some factor, so keep up the good work.

  2. Cheryl-Anne says:

    How do these relate to the alpha/beta/theta/delta/gamma classifications of organisations such as the Centerpointe Institute? I also thought that the paraliminals were encoded using the alpha brainwave state, so surely these frequencies also apply to them?

    (Says she working hard on both Genius Code and Abundance for Life with a sprinkling of Diamond Feng Shui!!!)

    • Pete Bissonette says:

      These frequency channels certainly relate to the four categories of brain wave patterns as defined by the Centerpointe Research Institute in its work: Beta (14-30 Hz), Alpha (8-13.9 Hz), Theta (4-7.9 Hz), and Delta (1-3.9 Hz).

      Delta waves are generally associated with dreamless sleep, deep trance, or loss of body awareness. The other three brain wave patterns, Beta, Alpha, and Theta, coincide with the four channels of awareness developed by F. Noah Gordon.

      Gordon’s categorization is based on how the brain functions within those four states of conscious awareness.

      Centerpointe’s Holosync audio technology is indeed used on our Paraliminals and Sonic Access Paraliminal Meditations to help the listener more quickly achieve a deeper state of meditation and learning.
